The national May rally for working people, organized with the full support of the leader of the National Democratic Front, Mr. Rushan Malinda, took place at the Ampara Municipal Council ground. The event was graced by the honorable presence of Mr. Roshan Ranasinghe, former Minister of Irrigation and Sports and Member of Parliament for the Polonnaruwa District.
A diverse crowd representing various ethnic groups, including Sinhalese, Tamil, and Muslim communities, attended the rally. As part of the event, the 'Ayubo' Labor Pride Awards were presented, honoring the contributions of the working people.
